About Aganang Community Radio Station

Aganang community radio station is located in Potchefstroom (Tlokwe Municipality) and renders its services to the communities of the Dr Kenneth Kaunda district Municipality in the North West Province. The surrounding towns of Potchefstroom amounts others include: Ventersdorp, Carletonville, Klerksdorp, Stellfontein, Fochville, Viljoenskroon and Orkney. The population of Potchefstroom and the Dr Kenneth Kaunda district is estimated at approximately 350 000 and 603 000 respectively of which the majority live in an urban context.

(b) Services Delivered:
• Aganang community radio station’s main activity is to provide broadcast services to its listeners by producing various radio programs with the objective of educating, informing and entertaining the community. Aganang community radio station continuously promote the rights enshrined on the constitution through dialogues and programs as part of its mandate to provide some public service or have some public purpose that goes beyond serving the personal interests of the members of the NPO (such as the promotion of social welfare, economic development, religion, charity, education or research).
