Smile Sussex is the UK’s first radio station dedicated entirely to the songs defined as the Standards and Traditional Pop.
All the songs are performed with the backing of a full orchestra by a combination of artists spanning the last six decades and the majority of the music being instantly recognizable.
The sound of Smile Sussex combines the best of Big Band, the strong tempos of Swing, a touch of Jazz and the sentimental Blues ballads of the Crooners.
Smile Sussex is the only place you are guaranteed to hear nostalgic classics by artists that include Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Glenn Miller, Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Nina Simone, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr., Tony Bennett, Lena Horne, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday and Julie London.
