Radio Shaker has a small collection of Breakbeat radio stations. Breakbeat also known as breakbeats or breaks is a term that describes a collection of subgenres of electronic music. Breakbeats are usually characterized by any electronic music that doesn't follow the repetitive house 4-4 beat. In the early nineties breakbeat began to shape itself with Jungle and later with 'Big Beat'. Big Beat was made famous by Fatboy Slim and Skint in the 90s. Groups like The Prodigy, Orbital, Leftfield, and Chemical Brothers further pushed it into the general consciousness.
